"This day, a life" showed on a plaque above the door of the emancipated author Ellen Key as described in the biography. It struck young Astrid Lindgren when she visited the lady she admired. Writers are masters in studying the moment in relation to the meaning of a lifetime. Visual artists also love to mould time.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Soledad Senlle Art Foundation we take a moment to experience time. With this programme, composed by Yvonne Grootenboer, we commemorate the times spent and the times to come. We look back and look forward together with artists, partners and visitors with whom Soledad Senlle filled its young life and would like to share many more years to come.

In the night of October 28 to 29, at the change to wintertime, between 2 and 3, or 2 am summertime to be precise, a special performance takes place on the Schinkel river, orchestrated by Henk Schut, which is a prologue to the forthcoming edition of the art manifestation KadS[Art at the Schinkel] 2018.

On Sunday November 12 we invite you to come to raise a glass to the birthday of Soledad Senlle Art Foundation. Semâ Bekirovic constructs All at One Point as a framework for a multiple cooperation. A Gesamtkunstwerk in which poetry, music, performance art and photography come together at one point in space and time. Semâ presents the photographic process as a metaphor for transience. She involved Laura Alexander to recite works by various poets and invited singer-songwriter Eilander to contribute with his band Insomnia Lobster.

We also present the artwork Fractured linearities of time: Measurement (2017) by Ola Lanko (KadS 2015) and Sachi Miyachi (KadS 2013) prepared a lovely gift for you to pick up and take care of while awaiting the coming edition of the art manifestation KadS[Art at the Schinkel] 2018. Marisol Ferradás and sascia vos invited ten artists to reflect upon the question What happens when the notion of time disappears? These artists will make site specific work for the public space of the Schinkel area. Kads 2018 will take place from 22 April to 3 June 2018.

Soak them in water overnight
Sow them in a pot with a handful of soil
Keep moist evenly

They like warm weather and sunny place
They like a comfortable container and de fed a bit
Keep your eyes on them

They may need a larger pot,
and like to explore once in a while
