NATATHALIE LETE

Opening 29 november 17- 20 uur

'Enter my world', is what Nathalie Lété’s (1964, lives and works in Paris) work seems to say and willingly you do so because it makes you feel happy.

Soledad Senlle Gallery in Amsterdam shows an installation by Lété consisting of carpets, ceramics, textile and painting, with both 2- and 3- dimensional work elements. Lété creates a fantasy world filled with humour and memories in which the separate elements of the installation are as powerful as the installation itself. Insects, birds, flowers and Asian motives mixed with folklore, show the inspiration Lété finds in her Chinese/ German background. Beautifully made, colourful, poetic and highly desirable work is the result.

Besides the installation showed here, Lété also makes books and works with well-known artists like Issey Miyaké (textile), Designers Guild (textile) en Astier de Villatte (ceramics).
