As a child the artist felt the sense of loss and absence, both with her father and her grandmother. She inherited the family archive and animated these elements in order to reconstruct her dream, that echoed the untold stories. The lifework of her grandmother, a replica of her own house, forms the setting. Who enters this space changes from subject to participating and direct object. These memories need your sensory perceptions to come to life.<\/p>\n
Co-production | WeMakeVR
\nWhen Eva expressed her intentions, no suitable technology to capture this in VR existed. The idea was considered impossible because of the size and scale of the object. Attempts to enlist help from VR creators failed until WeMakeVR director Avinash Changa, who does not believe in technical limitations, constructed a new camera out of existing elements. The personal resonance and emotional connection he felt with the concept motivated him to invent a new technology and workflow allowing this shared emotion to be captured in a (virtual) reality.
